O Poor Me (Written too long ago)

O poor me, Western artist
Tinkering with the scrapbook of 20C
Jig-saw pieces from different sets
Shards that make up make believe
Meals for the appetites of cranks.

Artists with clout speak of either
1. The 21st Century or
2. Ancient knowledge

O poor me, Western artist
Juggler with 3,4,5
Tight knots of thin air
An alphabet of soup
A long c.v. of stepping stones that sank
Old youth now with breath
That stank

O poor me, Western artist
Rags and bones and the pickings from
Faith fatigued.

"Western Artist" are two words like
"Family Life".
They are poles apart with
Nets set in The Dead Sea.
